2022 Health and Wellness Trends
Health and wellness has been rising in popularity over the past few years. In 2020 there was a significant rise in the amount of at-home workout equipment sold. Even though that rise has since turned into a decline the rise in interest in health and wellness has only continued. This is especially so when we look at things such as the ‘That Girl’ and ‘Gym Bros’ TikTok trends. But there are many more trends in health and wellness that are not only interesting to look into but that could also be beneficial to your own health and wellness journey.
Mindfulness
One current trend in health and wellness is mindfulness. People are being more mindful about their mindfulness. People are talking more and more about mental health and incorporating it into their workout routines. Starting mood journals and tracking your stress levels are all part of taking care of your mental health. If you’ve never considered mindfulness important or something to add to your daily workout routine then you should reconsider since it could help you lead a less stressful lifestyle.
Technology
Tech has been on the up and up since, well ever. Technology has been a part of many people’s workouts for a long time now. From simply listening to music to working out with virtual trainers. Now people are wearing smartwatches to track their daily activity and monitor their workouts. There are workout programs like Peloton that allow you to attend virtual workout classes or work out with personal trainers. There are even apps to help manage your stress, monitor your health, and even track your sleeping patterns. Technology is just another part of the regular workout routine nowadays.
Immune Health
Since the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 immunity has been on everyone’s minds. Concerns over immune health have by no means gone away since then. Finding ways to boost one’s immune system is something many people either include in their daily routine or are thinking about. Immune health has long been important and COVID-19 only increased the importance of good immune health.
